The land
trust is
building
a revolving
fund that
enables
the conservancy
to purchase
property
and resell
it with
restrictions
against
further
development.
This is
the Iglehart
Fund, a
reserve
to be used
toward the
purchase
of farms
and land
in danger
of subdivision.
Funds are
also needed
for day-to-day
support
and public
information
efforts.
This is
the Program
Fund which
may be used
to defray
costs of
easement
settlements
and to underwrite
community
outreach
and education.
"The
money that
I received
for development
rights that
I would
never use
helped me
invest in
a more efficient
and permanent
agricultural
business."
