The Manor Conservancy
Preserving a Heritage

The Manor Conservancy is a tax-exempt conservation land trust formed to protect and preserve Maryland's  farms, forests, historical landmarks, and rich heritage.

Our goals are focused on preserving the predominantly rural character of the Monkton, Manor and White Hall areas, while working in concert with neighboring environmental groups in Harford and Baltimore Counties and the State of Maryland.

The Conservancy organizes and accepts easement donations, assists landowners in selling development rights, and locates buyers to purchase threatened land.

OPPOSITION TO MANOR TAVERN PLANS

Manor Conservancy - Manor Tavern OppositionThe request for Business Major Zoning by the Manor Tavern has ignited significant opposition and concern in the community. A Business Major reclassification for the entire parcel owned by the Tavern would allow a threefold increase in entertainment space, both outdoors and indoors, plus a broad array of commercial/industrial uses should the owners, or future owners, cease using it as a restaurant.
